Women's Health We provide lifestyle plans that target gastrointestinal health, hormonal balance, mental and emotional well-being, reproductive and sexual health among others. Through our personalized approach to wellness, we aim to empower women to attain and sustain health.

At Whole Gut Health and Wellness, we started as an Integrative Gastroenterology practice. As we treated our Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's patients and watched their inflammatory markers improve, their quality of life improve, and their bowels normalize, we also noticed remarkable other findings. Our patients' energy levels improved. Their muscles became stronger. Their heart health and blood pressure improved. Their moods improved and they were able to get off their depression and anxiety medications. Our female patients had normalized menstrual cycles and their PMS symptoms resolved. We had even seen our patients who previously had trouble conceiving have natural pregnancies and deliveries. We realized that this is no longer an exclusive Integrative Gastroenterology practice. We had inadvertently become a wellness practice with many female patients. With our founder being a woman and the volume of women, we have helped, we developed a tremendous experience in women's health using an integrative and holistic approach to address their unique needs. We use a root cause approach involving nutrition, stress management, building a robust microbiome, and optimizing the gut and brain connection.

We have learned that women's health involves many aspects which make women unique. Women are more likely to have gastrointestinal conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and constipation. Women have nearly twice as likely to be diagnosed with depression and anxiety as men. Many autoimmune conditions such as Lupus are more likely to be found in women. Women are more likely seek support in their health and women are more likely to live longer.

At Whole Gut Health we use natural tools such as visceral manipulation, energy and vibrational therapies, and ozone to create health and balance. We provide lifestyle plans that target gastrointestinal health, hormonal balance, mental and emotional well-being, reproductive and sexual health among others. Through our personalized approach to wellness, we aim to empower women to attain and sustain health.

Treatment

At Whole Gut Health and Wellness we use a holistic and integrative approach that combines the latest medical research with time-tested natural remedies and therapies.

Treatment options for women's health may include the following:

Gastrointestinal Health
Women often experience gastrointestinal issues such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), constipation, bloating, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). We focus on identifying potential triggers, such as stress, dietary factors, toxins, hormonal imbalances, and gut microbiome disruptors. Treatments may include dietary modifications, stress reduction techniques, probiotics, and mind-body practices like yoga or meditation.

Hormonal Balance
Women's hormonal balance may undergo significant fluctuations throughout the life of a woman. Hormonal imbalances can manifest as irregular periods, mood swings, fatigue, and weight changes. We employ natural therapies like herbal supplements, lifestyle modifications, energy medicine and nutrition to support hormonal balance.

Mental and Emotional Well-being
The gut-brain connection is profound and bidirectional. The gut, also called the second brain has more connections to the brain than any other system. Emotional stress can cause and worsen inflammation in the gut. The bugs which make up the gut microbiome, in turn create neurotransmitters vital to brain health. At Whole Gut Health, we utilize many tools to address this cycle. We use energy medicine, breathwork, visceral manipulation, cranial osteopathy and more to target this vital process and help optimize the gut brain connection.

Nutritional Support
Food is medicine. Optimal nutrition plays a pivotal role in women's health. Our holistic approach emphasizes whole foods, mindful eating, and detailed dietary plans. Personalized nutritional needs along with supporting optimal gut health through a balanced diet and appropriate supplementation is key in creating and sustaining health.

Reproductive and Sexual Health
A women's reproductive health has many factors in the physical, emotional, and spiritual realms. The gut and liver work hand in hand to break down and excrete excess hormones. Any disruption in this process can result in hormonal imbalances. A women's emotional state and her connection to her partner can impact her hormone production. We always individualize therapies based on each patient's unique combination of needs. Addressing gut health is central. Treatment options may include herbal remedies, energy medicine, hormone-balancing techniques, and lifestyle modifications.

Weight Management
We frequently see patients struggling with issues related to weight, be it weight gain, difficulty losing weight, or maintaining a healthy weight. A person's metabolic status depends not only on the quantity and quality of the nutrition. Much of it depends on the machinery used to process the foods. Gut health and weight have an important relationship. Our personalized weight management plans have helped numerous individuals achieve their weight goals and improve their overall health.
